Disillusionment: US politics overt the last twenty years

Rye Pankoski
Deputy Editor-in-Chief,

Born in the United States, I am an autodidact that values learning and the pursuit of understanding above all else. My model of interpersonal interaction is as follows. “First seek to understand, then seek to be understood.” I am currently working very hard to accrue the necessary requirements and accreditation to attend school overseas. I will be pursuing International Relations and Diplomacy. I would love to work for UNESCO in the future. For the time being I am a teacher in my community. I teach English to immigrants and to those who wish to integrate into the larger United States workforce. I also assist people in naturalization preparation.

Aside from all this, I am also an avid mountain biker. Sometimes riding as far as 40 miles (64km) in a day. It is a brutal sport that really allows us to experience the true depth of the nature that surrounds us. When I’m not outside I am inside dedicated to the study of language, or writing music. I currently speak 3 languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
